Job Title: ROS Engineer - UAV

Job Location: Coimbatore

Responsibilities :

  • Help to design and optimize implementation of cutting-edge localization and path planning systems for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles.

  • Enhance unified back end architecture that coordinates tasking for multi-platform autonomy behaviors across a wide variety of UGV's and UAV's.

  • Support simulating scenarios using tools such as Gazebo, Stage, ANVEL.

  • Work with and assist other team members to provide ROS-compatible datasets for communication within the target architecture

  • Assist in the development and implementation of unit testing of code using simulation tools and actual hardware.

Requirement :

  • Engineering/Robotics/Technical Degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 2 - 5 years Industrial experience in robotics/UAV

  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or C/C++

  • Confident with ROS (Robot Operating System)

  • Willing to take initiative - we’re a small company, so we’ll expect you to take ownership of whatever you work on

  • Experience with complex robotic systems

  • Experience with Linux/Unix systems

  • Experience with Git version control, and Bash scripts

  • Experience with one or more of the following algorithms: SLAM, Stateflow, Trajectory Planning

  • Experience with one or more of the following comms protocols: Serial, PWM, TCP/IP

  • Understanding of UAV vehicle dynamics

  • Experience with vehicle kinematics and control of UAVs and Rovers
